Local and organic treatments for all wood
destroying pests ( termites, beetles and
fungus ) orange oils, Timbor,Termidor and
fumigation when it is necessary , make sure
whomever you choose..that they will guarantee
that local treatments are actually going
to kill, the queen and king, not just their
workers! Also ask them if they will give
you a full "house" guarantee for
two-three years, when they say "no",
please call us. Ask for references. We offer free second
opinions like most companies are doing now,
but we will double the "warranty time ".
Can they put into writing that there will
be no supplemental reports? Most companies
do a free inspection or a free second opinion
, and just to beat the competition, they
will under cut the other companies bid, get
you to sign a legal contract and then "wam!"
they hit you with a supplemental report at
several hundred or thousands of dollars over
their first price, and you are stuck with
a big decision: do I pay the robbery price
and have them continue or do I leave my house
torn up and hope to find another termite
company? pick wisely on your first termite
company and avoid the hassles and stress
of dealing with , high paid commision termite
inspectors and their treatment techs who might be more concerned with their money
and job...and not...your money and your job you're hoping gets
done
right!

Termites
There are 2300 different species of termites
in the world, but in San Diego, we only have
four types; Drywood, Subterranean, Formosan
and Dampwood.
Drywood Termites need no contact with the soil and are normally
noticed
when their droppings or pellets (fecal
matter)
are found in and around your home.
Drywood
termites swarm normally in the summer
to early
winter (late July to November).
Treatment
for Drywood termites varies from
company
to company. Fumigation (tenting)
of your
structure is the only method stated
to kill
100% of infestations in your structure;
microwave,
electrical, heating, chemical
injection,
non-chemical injection, and freezing
areas
of infestations are only as good where
the product
can reach. More Info
Subterranean Termites are found coming from the ground into your
home
through
cracks or voids in your foundation
and slabs,
OR through
the sub area under
your
home
if you have a crawl space. Treatment
may include
but not
limited gel or station
baiting,
or soil
trenching/rodding along
the foundation,
followed
by applying liquid
residual
or liquid
bait (colony elimination
with
liquid
bait). More Info
Formosan Termites also need soil for their colonies and are
like Subterranean termites, but they are
harder to eradicate.
Dampwood Termites are found in the wetter areas of San Diego,
such
as Mission Valley by the San Diego River.
Treatment
for Dampwood termites is easier
due to
the amount of moisture they needed
to stay
alive. Remove the moisture from the
wood
and termites will not survive. More Info
